Attending Creative Dialogues

Experiencing Creative Dialogues in Beirut for the very first time was nothing short of transformative. At the time, I was working as a freelancing creative professional and had traveled to the city for personal reasons. Being invited to take part in the program felt like a true privilege, an unexpected opportunity that would later prove to be deeply impactful, both creatively and professionally. Over the course of four beautifully curated days, Beirut became a vibrant hub of exchange. The program brought together a community of multidisciplinary creatives from across the region, all driven by curiosity and a shared passion for shaping new narratives. We explored themes ranging from the power of cinema and the role of art in nation-building, to personal creative journeys and the blueprints for collective innovation. These conversations were not only intellectually stimulating, they were emotionally resonant. They invited us to think differently, listen more deeply, and push the boundaries of our disciplines. One of the most enriching parts of the experience was connecting with like-minded individuals who saw creativity as a tool for transformation. It was energizing to be among people who celebrated intersectionality and embraced experimentation. For the first time in a while, I felt fully seen, not just as a designer or strategist or artist, but as a whole creative being whose multidimensional approach had value. There was a shared sense where we are all in it together as citizens of the world, tearing down walls and the hierarchy ladder. Together, we created a safe space to brainstorm and share bold ideas; a truly memorable experience to be a part of! There I discovered that Creative Dialogues is an initiative powered by YVT Consultancy, and during the program I began to understand how strongly the initiative aligns with YVT’s mission, which is to transform ideas into impact by building a sustainable and inclusive network of creatives in the MENA region. That resonance led to my first collaboration with YVT shortly after the program, and six months later, I made the decision to join the consultancy full-time. Fast-forward to today where I’m not just looking forward to the relaunch of Creative Dialogues in Beirut this coming September, I’m actively involved in planning it. To be on the other side of the experience, helping to shape a space that once helped shape me, is an incredibly meaningful full-circle moment. Creative Dialogues wasn’t just an event. It was a spark, an ecosystem of people, ideas, and energy that continues to influence how I think, collaborate, and create. It reminded me that creativity is most powerful when it’s shared, and that some of the most important journeys begin when you least expect them.
